Our Year 2 class went to a local junior school for a craft morning. They made hedgehogs out of books!
Some of our Year 2 children took part in the School Sports Partnership tournament. They all had a great time. Well done team Copthorne!
Year 2 have been working really hard in their Dance classes with Miss Elizabeth. They were asked to perform the dance to other class of Year 2 children at a local church.
We held our Harvest Festival assembly at school. The children were all very brave singing songs and reading poems to our bursting full hall of grown-ups who had come to watch.
We delivered the Harvest baskets that had been donated by our parents to our local elderly community. They were very grateful and enjoyed our visit.
We had an assembly about the Olympics and were lucky enough to have the actual kit worn by the British Hockey team.
We held our two minutes silence on Remembrance Day outside together in a circle. Together we raised £89.23 for the Poppy Appeal. Thank you everyone!
We held an online safety workshop last week. We performed a play to our parents to show them what we had learnt about staying safe on computers.
We had a visit from Rammy the mascot of Derby County Football club who enjoyed meeting us all
We had a brilliant road safety show to help us to stay safe. We loved joining in with the show!

We held a very successful Valentines day breakfast. The children made cards and had heart themed food.
We also held a scrumptious pancake day breakfast. The children made their own pancake faces.
Our children really enjoyed world book day. They dressed up as their favourite book character. We also had a book day themed breakfast too.
Our Year 1 children have been enjoying the start of Spring. They have been on a plant hunt around the school grounds.
